Our Operatives are responsible for assisting the production of Welded assemblies, involved in a variety of manufacturing processes and procedures.

Safely setting & operating Tig weld sets using jig & fixture assembly aids, cleaning & grinding of the weld surfaces & being vigilant that you are working to correct WPS & drawing requirements, inspection of work to be carried out to ensure that all documentation is compliant against the criteria required.

This position is part of the Air side of the business, a critical part of the organization, which is in Redruth. You will be required to work rotating shifts, incorporating detailed and intricate work to supply welded assemblies to the customer facing areas.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Operate equipment in a continuous production/processing operation while monitoring meters, gauges, and other associated tools to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
• Follow engineering drawings, SOPs, and similar procedures.
• Work with engineering to improve processes on fabricated parts/components for welded assemblies to ensure high standard product is supplied to the assembly area.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High levels of dexterity, coupled with excellent practical skills.
• Ability to read & understand engineering drawings and focus for periods of time on work in hand.
• Ability to operate equipment in a continuous production/processing department as part of a team.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Manufacturing processes including 5+ Years in Tig Welding.
• Time served coded Welder.
• Preferably having worked in a manufacturing environment previously.
• Undertaking rotating shift work patterns

We offer a competitive hourly pay rate for this role, enhanced by shift allowance. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
