Mortgage and Protection Trainer

As a Mortgage and Protection Trainer you will create and deliver effective training and assessment programmes to meet the development requirements of our Advisers and other members of the Openwork group, attending Mortgage, Protection, and associated courses.


Currently all training is being delivered virtually, however longer-term the aim is to have a mixture of remote and face-to-face training delivery at various locations throughout the UK.


  • This role is a 9 month fixed contract.

Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering training material that:

  • meets technical and skills development needs identified.
- uses a variety of learning media to engage delegates.
- caters for various learning styles.
- can be used flexibly (e.g., face-to-face events and virtual classrooms).
- provides clarity around Openwork's business quality standards.
- follows the Learning & Development sign off process.
- can be created at short notice when required.
- meets our standards in terms of format, content, and quality.
- challenges the status quo when appropriate.

In addition, you will be:

  • Creating and administering tests, assessments, and licensing processes.
  • Building and maintaining business relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintaining professional and technical competence in all matters related to the role.
  • Contributing to and supporting corporate projects and initiatives.
  • Performing to the standard that meets the need of the delegates, Openwork, and the Regulator at all times.
