We are hiring for a Financial Reporting Senior at a successful accountancy practice that is growing and needs to expand the team.

The main goal of this position is to handle accounts, business tax calculations, and lead larger projects alongside the audit team to make a significant contribution to the client deliverables.

As a Financial Reporting Senior, your duties will involve:

  • Day-to-day client communication to gather necessary information and resolve queries promptly
  • Preparing financial statements for medium-sized companies, consolidated financial statements, and LLPs using preferred software with minimal review points
  • Creating business tax computations including adjustments for enhanced expenditure and loans
  • Supporting junior team members with period end assignments
  • Adhering to agreed timelines by the audit team
  • Ensuring regular progress updates to meet internal and external deadlines
  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive data and upholding professional standards

The ideal candidate should have:

  • CA / ACA / ACCA qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a practice
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and tax compliance
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, & Outlook with knowledge of IRIS and MyWorkpapers
  • Thorough knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards and tax legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective organizational abilities
