Role Overview

As a Trainee Merchandiser, you will collaborate with the Merchandising team to shape our product ranges at FatFace. Your focus will be on efficiently managing stock levels to boost sales and reduce markdown risks, thereby enhancing profitability. You'll engage in trading these ranges, responding to customer preferences, and coordinating with our global suppliers to deliver products promptly.

Role Responsibilities

  • Learn essential merchandising skills from your team to advance in this area. You'll take charge of stock for your product division with early responsibilities.
  • Manage your department's launch position to optimize profitability by ensuring accurate stock placement.
  • Receive regular guidance from your Merchandising team for continuous coaching and development towards your objectives.
  • Coordinate stock orders from worldwide suppliers and oversee stock intake.
  • Update product systems with the right delivery schedules and shipment methods.
  • Analyze historical and current sales data to forecast future stock requirements.
  • Progressively participate in range building and approval meetings to influence upcoming ranges with your insights.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Organized, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Numerical aptitude with a basic grasp of percentages.
