The Role
As the Product Manager for Data at GPAS Ltd, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our data products and driving innovation in infectious disease diagnostics and treatment. Collaborate with science and development teams to define our product, create user journeys, and refine product ideas based on value propositions.
Currently in the early stages with a minimum viable product (MVP), we are gearing up to expand our product range. Your focus will be on understanding the market landscape, defining the product vision alongside the Chief Science Officer (CSO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and setting milestones in the product roadmap.
As a talented all-rounder in Data Product Management, you will work closely with a small, agile team, initially reporting to the CTO with the team set to grow rapidly.
GPAS' applications cover research, pathogen surveillance, and clinical use globally. The platform will see growth in users, pathogen pipelines, and data aggregation in line with our strategic goals.
We value proactive suggestions for product and process improvements. Expect a challenging role with new ideas and problem-solving each day.
Requirements
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with science and development teams to define and create user journeys and design a data-led product roadmap.
- Understanding market landscape and competitors
- Refining product ideation based on value proposition suggestions
- Defining the "North Star" product vision with CSO and CTO, setting milestones to drive product delivery
- Engaging with users and industry leaders to comprehend user needs
About You
We are seeking a highly motivated individual passionate about leveraging technology to enhance global health outcomes. You should be a strategic thinker with a history of driving innovation and managing complex product ecosystems.
Your experience should cover:
- Prior experience as a product manager, preferably in a startup or scale-up setting
- Experience with data-led products (data warehousing, research data environments, etc.)
- Proficiency in working with agile development teams
- Strong technical knowledge in high-performance compute, data mining (ML/AI)
Desirable qualifications:
• Collaboration with academic partners
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, GDPR, and international data sharing laws/regulations, including health data (HIPAA)
