Laynes Bakery is a small wholesale bakery in Armley, Leeds that delivers to a range of other cafes across the city.

The delivery run takes between 1.5 and 2 hours starting at 6.30am.


We're looking for someone who would be willing to pick up as many of these morning delivery runs as they'd like, ideally a minimum of 3.

Weekend availability is preferred.


Ideally suited to someone who already works as a delivery driver and that would benefit from a couple hours extra work in the morning before the rest of the day starts.

Own vehicle use is necessary

Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently deliver crates of baked goods to customers' businesses
  • Load and unload crates of baked goods from delivery vehicle
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
  • Communicate with customers regarding delivery updates or issues if needed
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Own vehicle for use on the delivery run
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and carrying of packages
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or delivery driver role is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and procedures
