Symphony Group have an exciting opportunity for a
Commercial Contracts Assistant to work within the Commercial Contracts teambased at Head Office in
Barnsley (with hybrid option at line manager's discretion). You will join us on
a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a

Key responsibilities of our Commercial Contracts Assistant:

  • Reviewing customer meeting minutes.
  • Completing contract reviews and negotiating amendments.
  • Hosting/attending/supporting customerfacing and internal meetings.
  • Liaising and working closely with internal departments (such as sales and finance).
  • Preparing cover letters and processing documents for signature.
  • Maintaining accurate records (electronic systems, spreadsheets, and hardcopy filing).
  • Manage and generate reports from the contract database.
  • Provide input to the weekly team call on progress and tasks.
  • Drafting and processing contractual notices.
  • Delivery of inhouse staff training.
  • Other ad hoc duties.

To meet the requirements of our Commercial Contracts Assistant you must have:

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and digest a high volume of documentation efficiently.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage your own workload and meet strict deadlines.
  • Prior contract experience (construction and/or JCT is highly beneficial).

As our Commercial Contracts Assistant, you will be:

  • A reliable team player who displays a positive and flexible attitude.
  • A confident communicator able to interact at all levels and adapt to different customers.
  • Able to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
  • Computer literate (such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook).
