About the role

What you need to know:
The purpose of the role is to provide underwriting assistance to the SME XOL, Package & Combined Underwriter, and the service team, including, but not limited to:

• Handling mid-term adjustments within agreed authority;
• Resolving queries within agreed authority;
• Supporting the Technical Underwriters on more complex and/or nonstandard cases within agreed authority;
• Liaising with Profit Centre(s) as necessary;
• Producing documentation within company guidelines.
• Training and Developing New and Existing staff

Principles Accountabilities include:

• Effectively using an XOL authority level of product and good systems knowledge
• Ability to sure all relevant systems are updated in timely manner
• Quality of service to brokers
• Timeliness and quality of query resolution
• Ability to meet SLAs
• Ability to produce reports
• Support and develop the service team
• Willingness and ability to be trained and to develop underwriting skills

• Serviceorientated approach
• Good working knowledge of MS Packages
• Good team player
• Knowledge of company products
• Good communication skills written/verbal
• Awareness of the impact of regulation and FSA
• Attention to detail
