Respond to break down situations of the production machines in the mine.
Assist with and carry out the installation and maintenance of rock handling equipment to efficiently support production operations.
Assist and carry out the maintenance & installation of Mine district services.

Assist and carry out the maintenance & installation of Mine District mechanical and ventilation schemes in accordance with the mine plan.

Assist with and carry out the planning and preparation of mine maintenance to minimise downtime.
Conduct routine maintenance on diesel-powered mining and construction equipment and machinery.
Be required to complete end of shift reporting to the company standard.

Experience in the maintenance of heavy plant equipment and production machinery (ideally in a mining or quarry setting).

Experience of hydraulic systems and Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in a mining, construction, or heavy plant equipment environment.

A recognised mechanical apprenticeship or technical certification with relevant qualifications in diesel mechanics or a related field (Minimum requirement Level 3).

Knowledge of Risk assessment process and able to carry out dynamic on the job risk assessments.

Willingness to work a staggered shift pattern that includes day, afternoon & may include night shift and some weekend working.

Good knowledge of plant/machine hydraulic & electrical systems.
