City College is currently seeking a skilled Carpentry Technician to join their team on a part-time basis. This role involves working closely with the Carpentry team to support classes and activities spanning across different levels.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Maintaining Carpentry rooms/workshops and equipment,
  • Ensuring workplace Health & Safety by writing COSHH and Risk Assessments,
  • Proper disposal of waste materials,
  • Preparing materials and rooms for Carpentry lessons.

The ideal candidate would have a background in Wood machining/Site Carpentry, with a key focus on organization and efficient workshop management to support students and staff.

Reporting to one of the Technician Team Leaders, who oversee a diverse range of curriculum areas, the role may involve participation in campus-wide, county-wide, or national projects, providing opportunities for skill development.
