This post will support the delivery of high-quality care along the entire Screening and symptomatic imaging pathway at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital.
Dorset breast screening is a high performing, forward-thinking dynamic service. It is a forerunner in role extension and there are 4 Consultant radiographers in post. This post can be entirely breast focussed or there is flexibility to encompass other areas of interest.Royal Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch hospitals recently merged to form the University Hospitals Dorset (UHD). This provides an exciting backdrop of change and the chance to help develop innovative services and new pathways.
A comprehensive clinical services review has determined that Royal Bournemouth hospital will become the main hospital for emergency care in East Dorset and planned care will be delivered from Poole hospital.
The post holder should be an enthusiastic, effective team player with a flexible approach who can embrace new ways of working and would be expected to take an active role in the development of Breast imaging services at UHD.

Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria Full registration with GMC and license to practice.FRCR or equivalentEntry on the GMC specialist register via CCST, CESR or European Community Rights. Pre-CCST candidates will be considered if eligible for interview 6 month prior to CCST date (at date of interview). Experience Essential criteria Broad experience of all aspects of Radiology with sub-specialty interest in Breast.
Breast screening experience Ability / Knowledge Essential criteria Evidence of knowledge base as shown by FRCR and CCTWillingness and ability to fulfill the key elements of the job descriptionExperience and ability to train junior doctorsAbility to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
