As a Safety Manager, you will provide professional support across a diverse business, covering all aspects of Health and Safety. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the wider SHEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) department, ensuring that policies, processes, and tools are aligned and effective. You'll drive compliance with safety legislation, champion safety initiatives, and cultivate a culture where every individual takes personal responsibility for their safety. This position also involves offering timely advice, providing solutions on safety issues, demonstrating corporate values, and managing the safety team to maintain and enhance our safety management systems.

Hours of Work: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Safety Manager Requirements:

  • Extensive experience of safety management (+5 years)
  • Experience in safety culture change and application of behavioural safety programmes
  • Detailed knowledge of safety legislation
  • Previous experience of liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of chairing meetings and leading safety committee structures
  • Previous experience of leading audits
  • Effective project management - you are responsible for coordinating and delivering a variety of projects, campaigns and strategies
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification or professional membership
