Early Years Specialist Teaching Assistant

Full-Time Position

Temporary position

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Early Years specialist to join the team, as a teaching assistant, at a local nursery in Charnwood.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young children's educationand support their development in the early stages of their education.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the teacher in the delivery of the Early Years curriculum;
  • Assisting with planning, preparation and organisation of activities and lessons;
  • Engaging with children in a supportive and nurturing manner to promote learning and development;
  • Supporting individual and group learning activities, both in the classroom and outdoors;
  • Assisting with the assessment of children's progress and achievement;
  • Providing onetoone support for children with special educational needs;
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents and staff;
  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children at all times.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of Level 2 in Childcare and Education or equivalent;
  • Experience working in an Early Years setting;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A passion for supporting the development and education of young children;
  • Ability to work as part of a team;
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
