YMCA Wellington and District are looking for permanent waking Night Concierges to join our team of dedicated staff. Our Concierges work a mix of long and short shifts with some lone working.SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
Week 1:
Monday: 7.30pm-7.00am (with 1⁄2 hour break)
Tuesday: 7.30pm-1.00am
Wednesday: 7.30pm-7.00am (with 1⁄2 hour break)
Thursday:7.30pm-7.00am (with 1⁄2 hour break)
Sunday:6.00pm - midnight
Week 2:
Monday:7.30pm-1.00am
Tuesday:7.30pm-7.00am (with 1⁄2 hour break)
Wednesday:7.30pm-1.00am
Thursday:7.30pm-7.00am (with 1⁄2 hour break)
Friday:7.30pm-7.00am (with 1⁄2 hour break)
We have 40 units of supported housing in Wellington, for people aged 16-25 who work with our dedicated and knowledgeable support team to prepare them for independent living.
Based at one of our offices in Wellington, you will ensure that all of our properties are safe and secure.
You will safeguard our residents through the night, promptly dealing with issues and that arise with the backup of our on-call senior support team when needed.
You will also be responsible for carrying out simple health and safety or maintenance tasks.
Concierge experience isn't necessary for these posts - an understanding of professional boundaries, lone working protocols and a common sense approach are key, along with a strong sense of humour, patience and confidence.
