Set against expansive heather moorland tops, each valley has its own distinct charm, from crags and waterfalls to an underground labyrinth of caves.

We're currently looking for a Committees Officer to join the team, on a part-time, 30 hours per week (0.81FTE) permanent basis, based at our Bainbridge office near Leyburn, with the opportunity for a blended working arrangement to include some working from home if preferred.

The Role

You will provide a high quality secretariat committee service to Members and senior management through the administration and servicing of National Park Authority meetings, its Committees, Sub-Committees and Working Groups etc.

Providing advice and support to Members, officers and members of the public on matters relating to Members and Committees, as well as facilitating the Member training programme will be key elements of your role.

Your start date would ideally be Monday 17 April 2023, to enable a handover period with the current Committees Officer.

About You

With experience in a secretarial/administration role and accurate note taking skills, you will need excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

The ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines and competing demands will be required. As will the need to use your initiative and discretion within the role.
An experience of working within local government would be ideal, but is not essential.
