IT Support Engineer – Focus on desk moves, evening work

We appreciate those hours won't be for everyone, but with the amount of office moves across this 7 floor office, you're going to have plenty to do, so there's no better time to do it than when the trading floor is quiet and there are less people for you to bump into whilst you're carrying expensive IT equipment between floors.
Due to the expansion of the business – they've doubled in headcount in the UK since the start of 2020 and aren't slowing down – teams are regularly moving around the various office spaces.
It's fairly new building and parts are still being renovated, so once a new area becomes available, teams are almost fighting (politely) to move to the new space.
You'll help them move.
Whilst this may sound like a basic job in IT Support, you'll quickly realise that these moves can be complex.
You'll be working at a tech-driven financial firm where some of your colleagues will have multiple computers, 10+ monitors and much more at their desk, so it could take an evening just to move one desk.
You'll also assist them with any new equipment they need, installing and troubleshooting as much as necessary along the way.
You're going to need to come from a background in IT support, with the minimum requirement being that you've worked with desktop hardware and peripherals, installing and troubleshooting in your previous job.
You'll also need to be happy lifting up to 20kgs regularly up and down stairs, but you should be able to use the lifts.
You'll be given every opportunity to learn and progress in the future, but to begin with you have to be comfortable and happy working 2pm-10pm.
Because of the somewhat anti-social hours, which are hopefully perfect for you, you'll be paid well. Depending on experience, you could expect as much as £100,000. Whether you have 2 or 20 years experience, this could be the right job for you.
