With a new Children's Emergency Department and Assessment Unit, state-of-the art Neonatal Unit as well as specialised services for cancer and surgery, Barnsley is among the leading NHS trusts in the country, providing a full range of district hospital services to the local community and surrounding area.


What you'll be responsible for:

  • Displaying excellent analytical ability and sound decision making in changing clinical situations
  • Recognising deterioration in the physical or mental condition of a patient and taking appropriate action / escalation
  • Recognising, responding to, and managing emergency situations
  • Providing emotional support during difficult situations

You'll have the following qualification/experience:

  • A minimum of 12 months paid experience as a Registered Midwife at Band 6 level
  • Have your NNR and CTG training certificates issues within the last 12 months
  • Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current practices

Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills._

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • No weekends
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability
  • Weekends only
