Senior Finance Business Partner


As part of this transformation, Stoke are looking to identify 3 Senior Finance Business Partners across a range of key areas including Housing Revenue Accounts, Adult Social Care and Public Health.


The Senior Finance Business Partner posts will work within a commercially focused team to provide financial and commercial advice and support across dedicated directorates and transformational projects across the Council.

Responsibilities include;

  • Working proactively with Directorate Management Teams and stakeholders in the financial governance and control of the Directorate to achieve strategic objectives
  • Business partnering with Directorate Management Team to provide financial and commercial advice on strategic and operational matters to support decisionmaking
  • Supporting and informing the overall Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) for the Council as an integral element of the overall financial strategy
  • Ensuring a culture of continuous improvement, looking to add value within a firstclass business partnering service
  • Leadership and development of Service Finance Team
  • CCAB/CIMA qualified Finance professional with evidence of continuing personal development
  • Proven business partnering approach with a track record of developing influential working relationships at strategic level
