Job Overview: An exciting and fast-growing software solutions company in the subsurface Energy sector seeks a Regional VP for Europe and Africa You will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and closing sales with a key focus on oil and gas exploration and production and CCS, whilst managing and supporting a team of Business Development Geoscientists. Their technical focus is to further enhance their geoscience software, pushing the boundaries of the analysis of seismic images in 2D and 3D to an unprecedented level of geological expertise. Their AI-assisted cutting-edge seismic interpretation platform, enables energy companies to achieve successful subsurface investigations, create new opportunities for energy supply enhancement and to de-risk the decision-making process. It is a key asset to clients in accelerating E&P workflows and limiting environmental risk. They are committed to delivering further innovative AI breakthroughs, providing clients with the platform and tools to meet subsurface challenges in a rapidly changing energy sector.

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, your primary responsibilities will be to:


• Become knowledgeable in the Company's software solutions and services.


• Understand the challenges and drivers within the Energy sectors with a key focus on oil and gas and CCS and how the Company's innovative solutions can help address these.


• Build good working relationships with your peers and across the wider company mix.


• Be proactive in building strong working relationships with clients – with a focus on driving sales across major oil operators.


• Take responsibility for achieving software and services revenue targets across Europe and Africa. Own the sales process.


• Strive to exceed targets and deliver exceptional outcomes.


• Work independently and autonomously with minimal review.


• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue growth. Manage and monitor all aspects of the sales cycle and pipeline.


• Maintain diligent and transparent reporting to the Management Team, ensuring that critical information is communicated effectively and promptly.


• Manage the administrative sales processes of the region.


• Manage and support the local sales (4 people at present) & services team to ensure streamlined operations.


• Work closely with the Company's technical experts to assist you at client meetings and presentations.


• Promote sales methodologies, policies and good practices to other members of your team.


• Be proactive in raising the awareness and reputation of the Company's solution. As required, attend roadshows, exhibitions, conferences etc.


• Keep abreast of new AI advancements in the market and their applications - become competent in discussing these with clients with the ability and confidence to highlight advantages of the Company's solutions


• Your role may evolve overtime depending on the future growth of the Company.

Preferences: The successful candidate will have:


• Bachelor's degree essential. Preferably in an earth science or engineering related subject.


• Proven Sales Account Management experience, selling geoscience or engineering software essential


• Experience in identifying and engaging effectively with key players across many sectors of your client base essential


• Consultative sales experience with the ability to devise complex, high capital winning proposals highly desired.


• Highly strategic – the ability to see the big picture – to guide clients in how the software can address their energy challenges.


• Exposure to AI technologies and their application highly desired


• The technical aptitude to grasp quickly the challenges and rewards of leading-edge technologies and the ability to engage, champion and deliver sales.


• Ability to manage, mentor and support a team of sales and service personnel desired.


• Ability to devise and implement sales strategies effectively to reach and exceed targets desired.


• Ability to monitor, manage and communicate strategic sales plans to managers.


• Can work independently as required.


• An assertive individual with the personality and confidence to build strong relationships and engage with senior contacts in oil companies.


• Excellent presentation and communication skills – must have the confidence to engage at senior level executive levels.

Package: Based on skills and experience, an attractive package is on offer. Example, Base Salary of €120-€135K (Euros), a Commission Plan circa €75K+ (uncapped), Retention Bonus of €10K, Management Package (highly lucrative), plus Company Benefits.
