Repair Surveyor - Contract role available working in Cheltenham - Initial 6 month contract with extension

Your new company

As a Repair Surveyor you will work for an arms length management organisation who are responsible for the day to day management and maintenance of over 5000 homes located in the Cheltenham region.


Your new role

You will work as a the main point of contact for day to day repair issues located in the Cheltenham region.

This will involve undertaking initial defect diagnosis of reported repair issues, before engaging with building contractors and supervising repairs,ensuring they are completed to the required quality, and within budget.

You will liaise with tenants throughout the process, and sign-off payments for successfully completed work.

Repair issues will be fabric related and will not involve damp and mould, as these issues are handled from a different team.


What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this position you will need to have a keen eye for detail and excellent building pathology or technology knowledge.

You'll need to have prior experience within the management of building contractors, ideally supervising works taking placein a social housing environment.


What you'll get in return

In return you will receive a competitive hourly rate which is likely to be between £22 - £25 per hour (basic PAYE).

Further to this, you'll be rewarded with a six month contract which is likely to extend beyond this point, you'll also have an opportunity toprogress into a permanent Surveyor or Manager position.
