We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable Cook for our children's nursery to
join us working 8.30am to 1.00pm Monday to Friday.


As the Nursery Cook/Chef you will be required to work alone and carry out all the kitchen duties, including preparation and cooking of the meals and maintaining a good standard of food hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.


Your role as Nursery Cook will include:

  • Preparing and delivery of nutritionally balanced, family-style meals for all children aged 0
  • 5 years
  • Cater for the individual dietary needs of every child within nursery, including allergies, cultural beliefs and parental preferences
  • Planning seasonal menus with the manager taking into account the nursery budget and nutritional requirements for children
  • Food ordering
  • Ensuring that hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen is of the highest standard in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation
  • Following kitchen procedures and maintain records in accordance with Environmental Health policies and processes
