Position Summary:

nAs the new Quality Manager, you will lead the quality teams across our Whitstable and Vantage Point sites and will work in close partnership with the Engineering & Operations team to address current challenges in both the office and factory, introducing new processes & procedures and driving continuous improvements across the full product life cycle.

The Quality Manager will work with the wider team to make sure that our products are safe, reliable, and meet customer expectations by challenging the processes, equipment, and people to improve capability, reliability, and performance.

All whilst keeping the design and manufacturing process as effective and cost-efficient as possible.

Main duties and responsibilitiesnOverall quality representation in Whitstable and Vantage Point sites, responsible for product and process adherencenSet and improve the organisation quality metrics, including Scrap, Warranty cost and cost of poor qualitynCoach and lead structured problem-solving workshops using tools such as 6 sigma / 8D / 5 whys / Process flow cause and effectnLead the site teams to set standards and ensure we strive for continuous improvementnWork with Procurement & Design teams to set supplier standards and lead supplier audit programmenProvide guidance and leadership to the Quality Engineers and inspectors on a daily basisnWork across both factories ensuring standards and metrics are consistent and reported accuratelynResponsible for ISO compliance audits and site quality standardsnWork with Design teams to ensure quality is involved throughout the product lifecyclenSupport NCR (Nonconformance Report) process to implement improvementsnPlay an active and influential role in the Operations management team

Qualifications/EducationnFormal further education in an Engineering/scientific discipline such as engineering degree or HNDnEvidence of structured training in a Quality discipline such as Statistical process control Six Sigma Green or Black belt

ExperiencenAt least 10 years in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing companynPeople management skills and experience
