JOB DESCRIPTION:
Mechanical Design Engineer/Equipment Design/Utility Distribution

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will lead projects from start to finish.

You will visit client sites to understand challenges before initiating the design process, collaborate with on-site departments including production and testing teams, and assist clients post-delivery.

Projects will range from customized solutions to large-scale products and new concepts.

The ability to handle multiple projects at different stages provides a good mix of challenges to keep things intriguing and dynamic.

Innovation and excellence are central to our operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will manage several projects simultaneously, each at different stages and with unique challenges.

Main duties include:

  • Detailed design of new products from inception to completion.
  • Enhancing existing products through redesign to reduce costs or enhance usability.
  • Conducting prototype testing.
  • Executing and overseeing field trials.
  • Collaborating with clients, fellow engineers, and the production team.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Mechanical Design Engineer/Equipment Design/Utility Distribution

You should be an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with an HND or equivalent qualification, with exposure to:

  • Leading and overseeing design projects throughout the production cycle.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks CAD software (knowledge of other tools is beneficial, but proficiency in SolidWorks is crucial)
  • Ability to engage and cooperate with the in-house production and testing team.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical thinker with an eye on future innovative projects.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects at various stages within deadlines and budgets.
