Purpose of your role:

Working Hours: You'll be working up to 40 hours each week, spread over 5 days. You should also be open to working weekends when needed, flexibility is key.

Driver Requirement: Having your own car is a must for this role as you'll need to travel as part of your job.

Supporting Regional Performance Managers in overseeing daily operations and department functions within stores. This involves nurturing relationships, providing effective team coaching, and maintaining consistent operational and commercial standards. Your goal is to boost sales and profitability by enhancing the performance and growth of the Field Merchandising Teams.

Key Objectives:

  • Assist the Regional Performance Manager in establishing and upholding operational standards to ensure efficiency and results, always striving to enhance service for both internal and external customers.
  • Offer support and guidance to individuals to help achieve business targets.
  • Stay informed about budget constraints related to payroll and expenses.
  • Remain adaptable and responsive to requests from the Regional Performance Manager at all times.

Responsibilities of the role:

Coaching and leadership:

  • Contribute to implementing the Field Merchandising Retail strategy.
  • Communicate business and regional objectives to store teams effectively.
  • Identify poorly performing stores, collaborate with the Regional Performance Manager, and assist in driving performance improvement.
  • Provide constructive feedback to colleagues and the senior team.
  • Ensure compliance with all activities, including promotions and trading.
  • Interact with stores, the Regional Performance Manager, and the merchandising team to foster relationships and facilitate communication.
  • Be well-organized by planning and managing your workload efficiently.
  • Participate in team meetings, celebrate achievements, share best practices, and promote consistency across the area.
  • Help identify new business opportunities.
  • Aid in the establishment of new policies, procedures, and technologies.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, resilience, and high performance.
  • Adopt a coaching leadership style within the team.
  • Be proficient in using computer tools like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and all Dee Set systems.

People:

  • Ensure that training, coaching, and development opportunities are provided to merchandising colleagues, including D Learning.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Performance Manager to ensure completion of on-the-job training.
  • Participate in performance reviews of the merchandising team and identify individuals with potential for growth.
  • Support the implementation of HR processes and policies.

Customer Service:

  • Follow procedures to ensure maximum on-shelf availability.
  • Consistently deliver the merchandising proposition in all stores.
  • Ensure colleagues are familiar with specific procedures and policies aligned with customer guidelines.
  • Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service to internal and external customers.
  • Cultivate and uphold the image and reputation of the Dee Set brand for exceptional service.
  • Exemplify outstanding customer service in-store, engage with store management teams to build strong relationships.
  • Assist in promptly and professionally handling all customer complaints.
