Salary:
Scale 5 points 13 to 17 - £26,421 to £28,770 per annum FTE

Actual salary:
£13,780 to £15,005 per annum

Hours: 22.5 hours per week, Wednesday to Friday 08.00 to 16.00

Contract:
Fixed Term Contract to 31 August 2024. Term time only plus 5 training days (39 weeks per year)


We are currently seeking a Library Assistant to support the school Library which supports the school's commitment to developing reading for all pupils.


Cambourne Village College is immensely proud of its well-used and popular library, and the Library Assistant will have a key part in its progress.

This role is to support the Librarians in the development and operation of the school library.

It will involve a number of tasks as specified in the job description, both library administration and activities involving pupils.

It would suit someone who enjoys reading and working with young people and who may be thinking about a career in the library profession.

The vast majority of the time the role will be assisting the Librarian but there will be occasions when the post holder will be required to manage the space independently.

College staff are incredibly supportive of the library. The post-holder would be expected to liaise with all teaching staff, support staff and pupils.
