In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the adherence to home policies and procedures, effective resource management, managing child protection concerns and complaints, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure each young person has a comprehensive care plan that covers all their needs.
  • Allocate a Key Worker to implement the childcare plan for each young individual.
  • Monitor and maintain high-quality care standards.
  • Develop feedback systems for young people to contribute to the quality of care.
  • Take charge of addressing complaints and child protection issues.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and professionals to safeguard young people.
  • Attend and contribute to child care planning and review meetings.
  • Promote personal and professional development through proper delegation of duties.
  • Ensure company policies are followed during probationary periods.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of company vehicles and facilities.

Requirements:

  • NVQ4 Residential Care or equivalent and/or Level 5 Management qualification.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Knowledge of childcare legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Understanding of the needs of children with complex requirements.
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a residential care setting.
  • At least 1 year at a senior level in residential care.
