Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver and assess lessons in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

Provide differentiated teaching and learning to support the needs of children with autism.

Support children in developing their communication, social, emotional and behavioural skills.


Use a range of specialist strategies and resources to support children with autism, such as visual aids, social stories and sensory activities.

Work collaboratively with parents, carers and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.

Maintain accurate records and progress reports to inform ongoing planning and assessment.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience of teaching children with special educational needs, particularly autism.

Excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and how to effectively differentiate teaching and learning to support children with autism.

Ability to use a range of specialist strategies and resources to support children with autism.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with parents, carers and other professionals.

Highly organised with excellent record-keeping and report-writing skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate a positive, flexible and proactive attitude.
