A little bit about us and our history Jacksons is part of William Jackson Food Group, a sixth generation family business founded by William Jackson when he opened his first shop in Hull in September 1851. Today we have a portfolio of five food businesses in distinct, yet complimentary market areas, employing over 2,000 people. We have occupied the current site in Hull since 1907 and we now have 3 bread plants in our main bakery. We recently developed a second bakery, also at our site in Hull, which specialises in premium quality roll production. In 2018 we opened a brandnew site in Corby, Northamptonshire one of the largest investments our Group has ever made and this will allow us to realise our ambition of being the best at what we do. Personal Assistant, Hull based with hybrid working An exciting opportunity has arisen within Jacksons Bakery for a Personal Assistant to join the team and support the Managing Director and the wider Senior Leadership Team (SLT). You will provide a comprehensive package of proactive support to the MD and SLT, supporting individuals in performing their daily tasks and work closely with the team to help them prioritise and manage their time effectively. What's Involved? The role will ensure that fully confidential support is given to the MD and SLT, from managing the prioritisation and delegation of time and tasks through to compiling materials to aid the business strategy. Key Areas of Responsibility include:
  • Scheduling travel arrangements for events and meetings, arranging buffet provisions as required.
Ensuring that all key group corporate meetings and requirements are placed in all the relevant SLT members diaries and that it is actively managed across the year.
Providing support to key project leads for specific projects in terms of recording minutes and actions.
Managing the flow of information to the SLT; screening calls, sorting mail correspondence and summarising reports and other memos as necessary.
Owning the production of the monthly board pack and weekly reporting documentation.
Ensuring deadlines are met and all documentation including minutes are to a high standard.
Supporting the commercial team in compiling of presentations or information required for any meetings or ad hoc requests outside of the daytoday account management.
Office management responsibilities such as organizing post, greeting visitors to site, replenishing office supplies etc.
Keeping all customers, both established and new, aware of relevant developments within the business.
Providing a key point of contact for the organisation of meetings for the SLT mainly through 'top to tops', quarterly or ad hoc events.
Being the 'go to' point of contact both externally with key customers and internally with colleagues to ensure that the SLT are kept up to date with all relevant business updates.
Engaging with and developing strong relationships with the PA network across the wider group.
Ensuring appropriate cover is arranged for periods of absence on the reception to support this integral customer facing provision.
Hours of Work This is a permanent, fulltime position working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week. About you Why Jacksons? In return for your commitment as a Jacksons employee you will receive:
