Transport planner

REPORTS TO:
Operations Manager

JOB PURPOSE

  • Responsibility for HGV1 traffic planning and performance
Main Duties

  • Plan vehicles in order to attain company KPI goals and objectives
  • Minimum earnings allocation 90%
  • Adherence to schedule 90%
  • Supervise allocated drivers and ensure that they carry out company policy
  • Liaise with Driver Trainer to monitor driver performance and driving infringements
  • Carry out Biannual driver reviews with each allocated driver
Experience and Training

  • A knowledge of LGV operations
  • CPC National
  • Understanding of driving rules and regulations
Education

  • CPC National
  • Minimum GSE Maths and English
Impact

  • This role is pivotal to the performance and output of transport department
  • Vehicle performance has a direct profit and loss line
  • Maximum performance from drivers and vehicles
  • Drivers welfare and performance within designated criteria
  • Compliance with service schedule and DVSA regulations

  • Fleet engineer
