Join our team as a Commodities Technology Front Office Risk Developer - VP and be part of the exciting and diverse world of commodities. You'll play a crucial role in leveraging IT systems to transact and manage risks efficiently in response to the challenging global political landscape affecting various asset classes.
Our Commodities technology team spans across London, Houston, Pune, and Singapore, totaling around 350 members. We focus on supporting key business operations such as Pricing, Risk Management, Trade Lifecycle, and more.
Background
- The role involves working as a VP analyst/developer within the Commodities Technology Front Office Risk team.
- As one of the leading players in the banking sector, CITI is continuously expanding its Commodities platform, providing dynamic technology challenges.
- You will contribute to the development and maintenance of a strategic platform managing intra-day and EOD risk data for front office trading.
- This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with trading, quants, and sales teams, gaining valuable experience in commodities financial and physical products.
Responsibilities
- Engage directly with traders, sales, and quants to gather and define business requirements.
- Contribute to enhancing a variety of risk management tools.
- Adhere to and enhance processes and SDLC in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge / Experience
- Proficiency in server-side programming with C#.
- Preferably, experience in Python programming.
- Some understanding of risk processes, ideally in Front Office or downstream.
- Familiarity with quant libraries is a plus.
- Knowledge of investment banking products, trade lifecycle, and front office trading, particularly in commodities, preferred.
- Potential in team leadership and stakeholder management.
