Job DescriptionThe Senior Electrical Engineer forms part of the engineering team based in London.
The role assumes general responsibilities that proactively contribute to Project delivery and design.nThis includes responsibility for all design of Lighting layouts, small power, containment, LV schematics, transformer sizing, etc.
; Documentation:Detailed specification, equipment schedules, etc. General administration and compliance with project requirements for the disciplines.
The following is an overview of the responsibilities of the role:
Skills and Experience
The Role:
nUndertake and lead a full technical design, design markups and oversee drawing production for project delivery on electrical projects.nStrong communicator, comfortable with client presentations, participating in and leading design team meetingsnProduction of detailed specifications and schedules to ensure compliance with the applicable standards and industry guides.nComplete all relevant designs by completing detailed calculations to meet the regulatory, industry, and business requirements.nProficient in the use of engineering software tools including, Dialux or Relux, AmtechnReview of the co-ordinated construction drawings and documentation.nDetailed review of specialist supplier packages for compliance with project specifications and applicable industry standards.nPrepare and monitor technical submittals for approval.nKnowledge of testing, commissioning and certification of electrical services will be beneficial.nExperienced with multi-disciplinary design coordination.nBasic drawing production within AutoCAD or Revit would be beneficial.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Services Engineering or Building Services Engineering.nExperience in electrical project engineeringnStrong understanding of electrical systems from a design or construction perspective.nCapable of working as part of a team and on own initiative.nGood knowledge of the current electrical, fire alarm and emergency lighting standards.
