About the Role:

  • Position: Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)
  • Contract: Permanent, starting in September

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic lessons in one or more foreign languages (e.g., French, Spanish, German).
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and a love for languages.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Engage in the wider school community through extracurricular activities, language clubs, and cultural events.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in a relevant language or related field.
  • Experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages at the secondary school level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A dedication to continuous professional growth and a love for teaching languages.

All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. While this position is initially temporary, there may be an opportunity for permanency in the future.
