The opportunityDue to projects ramping up, an incredible opportunity has arisen in which we are currently seeking an experienced Process Safety Specialist to help with a mixture of consultancy and design work across a number of industry sectors.

The roleAs a Process Safety Specialist, you will require both time in the office and on a wide variety of client operating sites in order to cover all the aspects of Process Safety.

Your duties and responsibilities will beFulfilling Client requests for various Process Safety activities such as HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, SIL, ATEX, DSEAR, etc.

Ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards throughout projects.
Contributing to defining HSE Criteria, and aiding in the development of Process Safety and Environmental Plans.
Serving as the HSE expert, supporting project management and engineering teams with Process Safety inquiries.
Collecting and organizing Process Safety and Environmental data.
Establishing risk thresholds and drafting Process Safety documentation.
Conducting Hazard Studies and Process Safety Reviews including Human factors, Hazardous Area Classification, Inherent Safety, and Alarm Prioritisation.
Ensuring proper documentation filing at the conclusion of project phases for seamless transition to subsequent phases.

Business Development: Assisting the Business Development team during sales visits, conference calls, and client meetings.
Leading or supporting the creation of competitive proposals.
Drafting, reviewing, and approving scope of work write-ups and manhour estimates to meet tender requirements.
You will have the following qualifications and experienceBachelor's degree in a relevant Science/Engineering field, preferably Chemical Engineering.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced process safety engineer, capable of demonstrating a strong knowledge of safety design deliverables from concept through to detailed design, and engineering expertise across a wide range of industrial applications, particularly Oil & Gas, chemical and pharmaceutical demonstrate a broad background in process safety / HSE legislation and their application to design projects, and an ability to lead / coach others in these areas.

Professional experience at Safety Professional or Principal Engineer level.
Relevant Professional Qualification such as IChemE Membership or Chartered Engineer status.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, internally and externally.
Proficiency in report writing.
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, analytic, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Advanced time management and organizational skills.
Leadership qualities for potential management roles.
Participation in process engineering activities.
Authorization to live and work in the UK.Personal AttributesProfessional demeanor, reliability, and determination.
Willingness to travel within the UK for several days as needed.
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within project teams.
Logical thinking and adaptability to learn new skills.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and solution implementation.
Self-awareness regarding personal competencies and the ability to seek additional support when necessary.
