Electricity North West is seeking a skilled and team-oriented Arborist to join their diverse team in Carlisle.

This Arborist position is a full-time role with a competitive salary of up to £29,331.60, depending on experience and qualifications, along with a range of fantastic benefits.

As an Arborist at Electricity North West, your primary responsibility will involve clearing trees near power lines and sub-stations. Working alongside a fantastic team, you'll operate chainsaws and chippers to ensure all tasks are completed safely and in adherence to industry standards.

Here's a glimpse of what the Arborist role entails:

  • Collaborating with customers to schedule tree clearance programs effectively
  • Representing ENWL while engaging with external parties
  • Executing tree clearance projects in alignment with relevant guidelines
  • Participating in site-specific risk assessments and safe work practices
  • Overseeing the compliance of finished tree-cutting work packs

To be eligible for this Arborist position, candidates should have prior experience in arb work outdoors, proficiency in working at heights, and a valid UK driving license, preferably with B+E entitlement. Additionally, the following qualifications are necessary:

  • NPTC certifications 30, 31, 38, 39, and ideally 40, 41, NPTC UA 1, and a LANTRA / NPTC chipper certificate
  • Prior experience in utilities
