Affinity Water is currently seeking a skilled Integration Developer to be part of the Technology Transformation Programme team. As an Integration Developer, your role involves supporting, maintaining, and enhancing core integration solutions within the Data and Architecture team.

Join us in using Oracle's SOA suite to contribute to our critical project of implementing smart meters for our customers. This initiative will enable customers to manage their water consumption more efficiently through data sharing and insights.

Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to design practical solutions that yield positive results. Your responsibilities will include resolving incidents, enhancing performance, problem-solving complex integration issues, and implementing automation processes for production and development.

As part of the Data Engineering team, you will oversee all data integrations and may have the chance to work with other tools such as the ETL tool Talend.

This role provides exposure to various modern cloud-based technologies and practices, offering continuous learning and skill development opportunities. You will advocate for effective data operational practices and integration management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the operational efficiency of the Oracle SOA suite and related solutions
  • Design, develop, and implement highly scalable integrations that can adapt to evolving requirements
  • Interpret business needs and user requirements
  • Engage with stakeholders proactively and present technical issues clearly
  • Support the integration of DevOps into the business by collaborating with development and infrastructure teams
  • Deliver smart technology solutions to solve problems, identify quick wins, and maintain high-quality deliverables
  • Promote best practices and contribute to the adoption of agile working methods
  • Analyze and troubleshoot live issues when necessary

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in administering and developing solutions using Oracle SOA Suite
  • Proficiency in Oracle Service Bus 12c, JMS, JSON/RESTful APIs, Postman and/or SOAPUI testing
  • Familiarity with basic Weblogic administration, SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres), Jenkins deployment, Linux, and Agile methodologies
  • Experience with source control using Subversion and Git, as well as good English communication skills

Desirable Skills:

  • ElasticSearch, Docker, AWS AmazonMq (ActiveMq), SNS, FSX & S3, Redshift database
  • Performance tuning and monitoring experience
