About the Job:

  • Opportunity Green, established in 2021, is a rapidly growing non-profit organization dedicated to identifying and unlocking opportunities to combat climate change.
  • Our legal team focuses on climate legal actions related to various sectors like aviation, shipping, buildings, steel, and agriculture in the UK, EU, and internationally.
  • We are currently seeking a Senior Legal Manager to lead our sustainable finance legal interventions, initially concentrating on the aviation and shipping sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic legal actions to ensure finance flows are directed to projects aligned with sustainability goals.
  • Lead sustainable finance initiatives and develop the workstream.
  • Identify and drive legal actions that promote systemic change.
  • Collaborate with external counsel and various NGOs on legal matters.

Requirements:

  • Passion for utilizing legal skills to redirect finance flows effectively.
  • Experience in litigation, particularly in financial and regulatory sectors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and team members concurrently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a creative legal approach.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with technical legal material.
