About the Job and the Company:
The company is a successful manufacturer near Yeovil focusing on fertilisers and related products for the amenity turf and horticultural markets. They have expanded globally, providing technical expertise from their in-house research lab, leading to the need for a Compliance and Regulatory Officer.

Job Description:
The Compliance & Regulatory Officer will report to the Operations Director, advising on and ensuring the implementation of regulatory obligations. Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring adherence to laws and standards such as CBAM and EU Fertiliser Labelling Regulations
  • Managing health & safety and quality assurance based on ISO standards
  • Ensuring environmental compliance and product registration under REACH
  • Implementing Extended Producer Regulations for Packaging, among others

Requirements:
The ideal candidate should understand environmental, health, and safety standards, with experience in compliance roles. Skills needed include:

  • Knowledge of quality management, health & safety, and environmental regulations
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in leading project groups and attention to detail

Main Duties:
The role involves monitoring global regulations, developing compliance strategies, overseeing quality management, managing health & safety programs, and maintaining accurate compliance records. Other tasks include organizing training programs and promoting compliance awareness.
