Product Owner - Books Reference Data

Glasgow


As a Barclays Product Owner - Books Reference Data, you will be joining the Reference Data tam within Markets Post Trade technology area.

You will be responsible for 'Book' reference data within the bank on a cross-asset basis.

Your team implements strategic change, future architectural planning, development, and maintenance of strategic repositories which are both in-house and vendor supplied.

The repositories source, validate and distribute reference data to all systems in the firm.

What will you be doing?

  • Building, managing and prioritize feature team backlogs, and working collaboratively with other feature teams (Feature teams are aligned to specific reference data domains
  • Translating stakeholder requirements and business strategy into executable plans and see these through to implementation
  • Partnering with internal and external leads across Architecture, Engineering, Programmes and Stakeholder community
  • Managing business outcomes with Lean control tribe, engaging Chief technology, data, and security office
  • Driving technical deliverables of the team and ensuring quality of delivery
  • Defining, leading, and presenting key design requirements or changes to other/central Design Authorities across Barclays
  • Building, communicating, and presenting solutions and issues to Senior management
  • Supporting new demand assessments for the feature team and recognising priority requirements

What we're looking for:

  • Proven Investment Banking and Book Reference Data knowledge; expertise in how trade/ accounting book setup and used, solid grasp of organisation structure
  • Proven product ownership experience with high exposure to prioritisation and stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of backoffice process is added advantage
  • Reference data and Data Analysis experience in an investment banking domain

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Investment banking back-office knowledge, such as settlements.
  • Knowledge of Agile Development Lifecycle (SCRUM)
