An opportunity has arisen for an Ultrasound Sonographer at a Hospital based on the beautiful south coast.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Sonographer that is qualified in a minimum of General/Obstetric and Gynecological ultrasound.


A beautiful and vibrant city that has plenty to offer, close to the beach, it has the perfect mix between good nightlife and incredible scenery.

The Hospital supports a forward-thinking Radiology department which provides development opportunities and actively promotes CPD with funding available for external courses.


The team consists of twelve sonographers who are responsible for independently performing and reporting Ultrasound examinations while ensuring the high standard of patient care.

You will be expected to participate in the Ultrasound extended day roster (37.5 hours over 4 days) this includes weekend working (approximately 1 in 10), as the Hospital now provide a seven day service ensuring that they are putting the needs of their patients first.

There are future plans underway to ensure the Trust can continue to provide high levels of care. This involves a £147m investment in the region's health services.


The appointee will be expected to work as a specialist in Ultrasound undertaking and producing autonomous reports on a range of ultrasound examinations.

You will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day organisation of the department and supervision of staff in liaison with Sonographers and the Ultrasound Clinical Lead.


It is essential to have the following:

  • Diploma of college of Radiographers or Bsc.
Radiography

  • Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound
  • HCPC Registration.
