A Major FMCG Food Manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Director to join the business. This role will be site-based, Monday to Friday so a home base commutable of site required. The Supply Chain Director will play a critical role in optimising the supply chain operations to meet the demands of a growing business. You will be responsible for the end-to-end supply chain, developing and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance across the supply chain.
You will have proven experience in a fast-paced FMCG Food Manufacturing / equivalent FMCG Manufacturer, ideally food, Branded and Private Label at Supply Chain Director level. You will have proven Supply chain Director-level experience with responsibility for managing manufacturing, procurement, sourcing, logistics and warehousing and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Supply Chain Director responsibilities include:- Develop and execute supply chain strategies and plans that align with and support the delivery of the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Oversee the day-to-day logistics, warehousing and manufacturing operations including production planning, scheduling and resource allocation and monitor processes and KPI's to ensure efficiency, productivity and quality targets are consistently met or exceeded.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that in-house and outsourced manufactured products and services meet or exceed customer expectations and provide the business with a sustainable competitive advantage, as well as ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including supplier disruptions and market fluctuations.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and pricing.
- Lead, coach and develop a high performing cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and streamline processes.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
You will ideally be a degree qualified / equivalent Supply Chain Director with proven experience in leading a fast-paced FMCG Food Manufacturer / equivalent FMCG Manufacturer, ideally food, Branded and Private Label at Supply Chain Director level. You will have proven Supply chain Director-level experience with responsibility for managing manufacturing, procurement, sourcing, logistics and warehousing and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. The Supply Chain Director will require excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
