Mirror and Express Online, this is a fantastic opportunity to drive web traffic, maximise engagement and increase brand awareness.

We own over 130 trusted national and local media brands, including the Mirror, Express, Star and OK magazine, and reach a whopping 80% of the UK online population.

We're also home to 21 of the top 25 regional titles in the UK, including the Manchester Evening News, Liverpool Echo and MyLondon.

If you love telling stories, are full of ideas and deeply engaged with the US then we want to talk to you.

You'll be at the heart of our 24/7 newsrooms during one of the most exciting periods of expansion in our history.

We're looking for fresh ideas and new perspectives from people from a wide range of backgrounds, and we want you to tell us the stories you believe are important from our many communities so we can continue to diversify our content.

What will the role involve?
You will manage social media and audience relationships while overseeing regular social training refreshers for reporters.

Managing social media channels in accordance with best practice and priorities and use social media analytics to drive audience growth and engagement.

You will help to promote and drive interest in newsletters and other new content formats, implement projects to grow registered users and ensure sports digital content strategy is delivered locally.

Finding new ways to promote content off-platform and find new readers and working closely with Social Video Producers to ensure consistent content roll-out.

An experienced journalist with your
NCTJ or equivalent qualification and media law knowledge, you're an excellent communicator who is able to sell stories with flair, passion and skill.

You are a digitally savvy writer who is used to working within a fast-paced digital newsroom environment and has a strong understanding of the power of social media.

You have a detailed knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and other social media platforms.
