Senior Solutions Architect

The role of a Solution Architect is to work alongside our Engineering Leads to provide architectural solutions for agile software teams in the delivery of related products.

  • Translate business requirements into coherent and effective solutions, leveraging other solution architects and engineers to identify and apply appropriate patterns to solve business problems.
  • Assist the engineering leadership team in shaping and estimating new projects and providing options for technical approaches for new business ideas.
  • Stay updated on emerging software industry practices and technologies, assessing and advising on the opportunities and risks of using them within the media program.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of software design patterns, including architectural approaches to the development of applications, data, integration, infrastructure, and security.
  • Apply technology to solve business problems with an all-round solution architecture experience within data-rich and analytics-focused environments.
  • Deal with senior business stakeholders and individuals across the technology domain.
  • Document and help implement detailed solutions, ensuring that application patterns adhere to platform, enterprise, security, and infrastructure standards.
  • Define technical solutions, options, and estimates for new business ideas in response to business requests for technical solutions to business problems.
  • Take ownership of architectural solutions for the team throughout the delivery cycle, assisting in resolving blockers and challenges as they arise.

Experience in application architecture, engineering, integration, data modeling, and delivery approaches demonstrating:

  • Front-end to back-end service integration.
  • Content Management.

Experience with:

Typescript, Javascript, Node, React, Express, Mongo, Graph QL, Python, Java, C#, relational databases, graph databases, search, data warehouses, data lakes.

Knowledge of and experience in cloud platforms, ideally Azure but AWS and GCP also welcome, including experience using serverless technologies.

Experience with compositional micro-frontends using Webpack.

Highly experienced in agile test-driven software development.

Experience with Docker, containers, and/or Kubernetes is an advantage.

Professional, flexible, energetic, and collaborative approach.

We operate on a hybrid working basis and offer flexible working conditions. The team works out of our London office in NW1.
