Banqueting Bar Staff

The City Rooms is a Georgian, Grade 1 listed wedding venue and banqueting hall with boutique bedrooms in the heart of Leicester city centre.

We are looking for banqueting Bartender staff to assist during our busy events that take place in the hotel.

These include:
Weddings, Christmas parties, Balls, afternoon tea, birthday parties, conferences, private dinners.

Your duties would mostly be, but not limited to:
Serving drinks on the bar including cocktails and draft beers.

Changing beer kegs and gas canisters (full training will be provided)

Restocking fridges and putting drinks deliveries away

keeping the cellar and bar areas clean and tidy

Taking drinks orders for the bar during meal service

Washing and polishing glasses

Opening and closing the bar

Able to help the waiting team with food service if required

Bar staff requirements:

  • Must have bar experience minimum 1 year
  • Must have good knowledge of spirits and wines
  • Must have cocktail experience
  • Excellent customer service
  • Able to carry a tray of drinks including up stairs
Experience is preferred but full training will be provided.

Pay will depend on experience and age

Hours are mostly evenings and weekends with some occasional day shifts depending on the business needs.

There will be opportunities to work at our sister venues: Winstanley House, black iron, black iron social.

£5.00-£11.00 per hour
