The Role:


Reporting to the Head of Asset Management Change this role is responsible for overseeing the full portfolio of Asset Management Change.

This is a pivotal role in the team with responsibility for Planning, Resourcing, Reporting, RAID Management as well as directly managing the team of PMO and PSO leads across the change portfolio.


Key Responsibilities For This Role:

  • Provide a professional PMO service across all Asset Management key programmes.
  • As part of the Asset Management Change leadership team support the Head of Change to instil across the Investment Change functions a "one team" mindset with a clear set of outcomes, maximising the opportunity for collaboration and minimising a "silo" mentality.
  • Ensure successful implementation of a consistent PMO strategy setting out clear responsibilities, services and deliverables, to enable the successful execution of programmes
  • Supports the development of a trusting and respectful work environment that embraces and values diversity
  • Provide line management for, and development of PMO and PSO teams, first and second line management of resources, ensuring clarity on priorities and expectations.
  • Provide regular updates to the Head of Investment Change, sponsors and other senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure the programmes under management have suitable governance in place with strong RAID management, aligned to overall portfolio governance approach.
  • Provide ownership of the Interlocked plan across Asset Management Change to enable key dependencies and prioritisation decisions to be managed.
  • Ensure robust view of capacity management position across the portfolio for all key programmes and supporting functions to manage efficiency and inform prioritisation decisions.
  • Work with the Head of Finance, Investment Change to ensure programmes are managed in line with budgets and robust tracking is in place.
  • Define the goforward operating model for the Investment Change PMO as the change agenda evolves including people, process', and tooling, ensuring efficiency in approach and delivering simplification to ways of working.
  • Collaborate with peers across M&G Plc to ensure that shared opportunities are robustly governed, potential dependencies understood and areas of conflict proactively managed.
  • Support annual planning / budget prioritisation process to ensure robust submissions and outcomes are in place for Investment Change.
  • Work closely with the Transformation Office, ensuring standards adhered to and collaborating to agree pragmatic solutions; championing the utilisation of Service Now across the Investment Change portfolio. Ensure change methodology and frameworks are adopted.
  • Define and implement consistent and concise project dashboard reporting / MI to support delivery management and prioritisation and negating the need for rework wherever possible.
  • Work in close collaboration with all 2nd line assurance functions to manage adherence to standards, ensuring no late or overdue actions
  • Produce senior executive reporting in relation to Investment Portfolio delivery status
  • Document all portfolio level risks and manage at the appropriate level with escalation as required

Key Experience:

  • Experience of managing PMO for a portfolio of complex business and IT change within a regulated Financial institution.
  • Leadership and management experience of PMO/PSO teams.
