Job summary

Are you a Band 6 Physiotherapist looking for a new challenge or an experienced band 5 therapist who is looking to take the next step in their career? If so the North Lincolnshire Community Team for Learning Disabilities would love to hear from you

The successful candidate will work with adults who have the full range of learning disability within the area, and will need to be able to work both independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team. The post will involve working in a variety of settings including patients own homes, care homes, supported living environments etc.

We are a growing team with close links to our colleagues in both Rotherham and Doncaster. We will be able to provide regular support and supervision. Main duties of the job

To provide a comprehensive physiotherapy service to meet the needs of adults with learning disabilities in North Lincolnshire, dealing with more complex cases that have profound and complex difficulties and/or challenging behaviour.

To manage a defined complex caseload of adult service users, using person-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions through the promotion and implementation of evidence based practice.

To lead where delegated in the planning, modernisation, development and evaluation of physiotherapy services within Learning Disability Services.

To undertake necessary day to day clinical and operational responsibilities for the Learning Disability Service relating to physiotherapy.

The post holder will be required to deputise for the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist during absence under the direction of the Service Manager.
