Marketing is seen as a significant driver of customer demand, retention and revenue, and plays a strong role in motivating stakeholders and influencers to see us as a key strategic partner that they want to engage with and do business with.


The scope of the Marketing team encompasses brand strategy and design, customer research and insight, brand and performance marketing, SEO, social & content, CRM and data for all UK divisions.

In this role you will be working with like-minded, dynamic, digital-first marketers to craft and execute winning digital strategies. You will help drive results and optimise campaigns and performance media activity to meet and exceed revenue goals.

What you'll do...
Support external agencies and in-house capabilities to deliver digital marketing across multiple National Express marketing channels
Support the Performance Marketing Team to manage day-to-day relationships, planning, performance reporting and working with the media agencies
Support the team to plan and manage campaigns through digital marketing channels

Work closely with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager to ensure all existing and new activity is correctly set-up and tagged and that all relevant activity has been through the correct cybersecurity checks.

Monitor the wider digital media/wider marketing landscape and identify and share emerging trends and new developments.
Help the Performance Marketing Team to provide thought leadership on all aspects of relevant digital marketing.
Work with the eCommerce team to ensure all digital marketing activity is aligned with onsite content/UX and to help deliver more integrated analysis using Digital Marketing performance data with onsite GA analytics

Ensure all activity is on brand and effectively integrated, where appropriate, with wider National Express marketing and advertising activity, by liaising regularly with the wider UK Marketing team.

What we're looking for...

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience with minimum 2 years recent experience working with paid performance marketing channels such as PPC, Affiliates, Paid Social and Display.

Analysing data and reporting on performance against digital marketing KPIs.
Turning insights into actionable plans and optimisations.
Working with multiple internal and external teams and stakeholders
Direct working with external media agencies and specialist performance marketing organisations.
