London, Greater London, United Kingdom Royal Museums Greenwich Full time

Royal Museums Greenwich sits at the heart of the 'Maritime Greenwich' UNESCO World Heritage Site, the umbrella brand for four historic sites – the National Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory, and the Queen's House – and the Prince Philip Maritime Collections Centre in nearby Kidbrooke. All are home to the world's largest maritime history collection, charting complex and rich histories with the rest of the world. Each site has a unique identity and a common purpose to serve our communities, through sharing our collections and expertise. We are a place to explore the sea, space, art and history, and our strategy puts our people at the core of its success.

The Development team champions growth and innovation across the Museum; raising money for life-enhancing experiences and keeping heritage alive, relevant and accessible. The role of Trusts and Foundations Officer provides a fantastic opportunity for someone with administrative experience to join the department, supporting the Trusts and Foundations team in managing, organising and liaising with a growing portfolio of trust and foundation donors.

The post holder will work closely with the Trusts and Foundations Fundraisers and the Senior manager to ensure in-depth knowledge of Museum activities and related grant income. They will prepare interesting, informative and accurate reports for funders, working with original funding requirements, aims and objectives. They will take a responsibility for the record keeping of grant contracts to ensure accurate paper trails for auditing purposes, as well as ensuring donor/prospect relationship records are kept up to date on the fundraising database Raisers Edge and where appropriate logged on Royal Museum Greenwich's electronic records system.

Other responsibilities within this role include supporting with the Trusts and Foundations team on major trust bids. They will collaborate with fundraisers to ensure an open and supportive approach to fundraising, maximising opportunities, finding efficiencies and sharing knowledge. They will also collaborate cross-departmentally to foster trusting relationships with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective working when preparing activity and financial reports. The post holder will hold a responsibility for ensuring the team's ways of working meet the Museum's values around sustainability, observing all health and safety rules and procedures are adhered to, and building a departmental culture which values and promotes a positive attitude to equality, diversity and inclusion.

The successful candidate will have strong IT skills, particularly using Microsoft Office; excellent organisational skills; meticulous attention to detail; and a confident team player with a collaborative mindset willing to get stuck in.

This is a full time, fixed term role for 18 months, with a possibility for extension, in Band 6 – Management and Technical Specialists. Core hours of work will be 36 per week, 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with an additional hour to be worked as agreed upon with management.

We offer a culture encouraging inclusion and diversity, pension, 22 days annual leave (rising to 25 after 1 year), training and development opportunities, an environment with flexible working options, free or discounted admissions and more.
