What will I be doing?

  • Develops the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for his portfolio of circa 300 live MPS items
  • Undertakes RCCP to check the feasibility of the MPS against critical resources and provides recommendations through scenarios to the management team and escalates in cases of unmitigated discrepancy
  • Confirms and communicates requirements and changes to the mid term plan resulting from the MRP to internal/external scheduling teams by confirming any necessary modifications that are too be made
  • Define the supply parameters in the ERP system within their scope of activity, which are consistent with stock targets and the industrial strategy.
  • Prepare the monthly MPS Meeting that flows down directly from our S&OP. This meeting is a key part of our monthly demand cycle loop and the output is a clear load and capacity plan for the next 24 months', per family of product, on which Senior Management will base their decisions (offload, recruitments, etc )
  • Measure and analyse performance in coordination with the manufacturing unit using the defined Oliver Wight based metrics and provides the required weekly/monthly reports
  • Monitor and analyse the impacts of manufacturing defects in terms of yield and if necessary reschedule requirements to ensure commitments can be met, ensure yield is factored into future planning
  • Analyse the root cause of metrics not at target level and work with the manufacturing unit to develop the necessary action/recovery plans
  • Interfaces with the commercial team to manage short term changes to demand plans and to notify of any disconnects
  • Contributes to lean projects to ensure that changes introduced through improvement projects are replicated within the ERP system to ensure the effectiveness of planning parameters

Job requirements:

What do you need from me?

  • Supply chain experience of 3 years minimum in a scheduling or planning role
  • Proficiency in the MRPII principles
  • Capable of communicating with an Englishspeaking production unit, both verbally and in writing
  • APICS CPIM or working towards

Tools:

  • Is proficient in using an ERP system (SAP experience preferably)
Upper intermediate level on Excel

Communication:

  • Capable of communicating clearly and concisely
  • Able to escalate at the right time and at the right level
  • Capable of making decisions
  • A good team player
  • Able to negotiate well with internal contacts and external suppliers
  • An ambassador for the company and able to defend its interests
