Team/Function Overview
The EMEA Payment Operations Team reports into the Global Money Movement and Compliance Organisation (GMMC&O).

The Team manages the banking transactions generated by the payroll product branded in the UK as the Payroll Disbursements Service (PDS), ensuring payment liabilities are met on time and accurately for our clients, while at the same time being responsible for preventing payments being released until the Clients have correctly funded ADP.

Payments include salaries, third parties and tax payments.


The EMEA Payment Operations Team sits at the end of the ADP/Client relationship chain which will have included Sales, Implementation/Migration, Account Management and Service delivery.


A little about ADP

KEY TEAM OBJECTIVES AND TASKS:

  • To ensure that all Payroll, (employee net pay), and Post Payroll, (e.g., PAYE, NI, Gym Membership, savings scheme), payments are released on time once funded, and fully reconciled within a highly controlled environment
  • The resolution of nonfunded or underfunded payrolls and prevention of reoccurrence
  • To escalate immediately any issues; AML, control, process, systems/technical, which will jeopardise the timely release and reconciliation of all payments
  • To always remain compliant in respect of SOX Controls, Internal ADP Policies, External Audit bodies and the UK Regulatory bodies
  • Continuous improvement of controls, processes, and systems

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • You will need to have a minimum of 2 years banking / payroll / accounting experience in a payment/settlement environment
  • Knowledge of Payment methods and clearing cycles (BACS/CHAPS/Cheque/FPS) highly preferred, though not essential
  • ORACLE experience would be beneficial, though not essential
  • The jobholder will need to demonstrate a high degree of selfmotivation and high personal performance in previous roles
  • Attention to detail, good organisation skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines are a complete must
  • Experience of working in a risk focused environment
  • Selfstarter
  • Service and customer orientated

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Practical experience is more important than formal qualifications
  • The jobholder will have experience of working in a deadline driven, highly controlled, regularly audited environment with tight procedural controls and segregation of duties
  • A knowledge and understanding of Payroll processing/settlement and Third-Party payments would be useful
