This will be an internship role which is on Voluntary basis as we would like to offer work exposure for newly graduated students in our various projects as a part of our Corporate Social Responsibility.

These opening for our client CHAI GALI Ltd. which is one of the best fine dining restaurant in East London serving a wide variety of Indian cuisine.


At the end of the Internship, we would try to keep the best performers under our wing and help in building a prosperous career for them in the best ways possible.


A good kitchen is a clean kitchen, and as a kitchen assistant you'll be tasked with ensuring hygiene and cleanliness are tip top, while supporting with the relevant duties such as food preparation, washing up, setting tables, and serving meals and beverages.

Basically, you'll be responsible for looking after everything that you'd expect from a well-run kitchen environment.


It would be helpful to have a basic knowledge of food preparation and food hygiene however full training will be given - so we are keen to speak to anyone who likes a kitchen environment, who is interested and passionate about food and who cares about others.


Your role:

  • Assisting in the preparation of food as directed by the chef/cook
  • In conjunction with the chef/cook ensure that a high standard of food preparation is maintained and to implement the requirements as set out by the Environment Health (EHO), Food and Safety Act 1990
  • To ensure that the kitchen, stores, servery, dining and associated areas fully conform to the requirements as laid down under the Health and Safety at Work legislation
  • To ensure the kitchen, stores, servery, dining and associated areas are kept in a thoroughly clean and hygienic condition
  • Washing up

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking
  • Help with meal preparation and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of ingredients
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or chef

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
